The Holy Mass inaugurating the meeting was celebrated at the chapel of the Trzebinia’s Spiritual Formation Center. It was presided over by Fr. Andrzej Urbański, general superior, who also gave the homily. At the beginning of the Mass he blessed the altar wall and the Holy Cross Stations.

The Provincial Synod supports the work of the Provincial Council and takes place at least once a year, after being convoked by the provincial superior (see the Provincial Statutes of the Polish Province). In the meeting, which is planned to last three days, participates the Provincial Council, superiors of religious communities in Poland and superiors of foundations and regions present in more than dozen countries around the world (35 superiors). The honorary participant is the General Superior of the Society of the Divine Savior, which as religious society is of international character.

The first day of the Synod was dedicated to formation. There were prayer meetings, a conference of Fr. prof. dr hab Czesław Parzyszek SAC entitled  Rola władzy we wspólnocie zakonnej na podstawie wskazań instrukcji Posługa władzy i posłuszeństwo [Role of authority in religious community, based on the Instruction: The service of authority and obedience] as well as time for work in groups, providing space for common sharing and reflection on the role, predispositions and competences of religious community superiors.

In the last plenary session took part Mr. Grzegorz Miśta, leader of the Lay Salvatorians in Poland, and Fr. Bartłomiej Król, director of the Salwator Publishing House. They introduced the participants with the activity of the apostolates under their care. Fr. Piotr Filas, provincial superior, presided over the convention. The first day was closed with community prayer for our Dearly Departed and the fraternal recreation.
